Christopher J. Upchurch
Co-Founder | Creative Director | Filmmaker
Christopher J. Upchurch is a multi-disciplinary storyteller, filmmaker, and creative visionary. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Chris discovered his passion for performance and expression early. Over time, he developed skills across acting, writing, directing, and production—qualities that now shape the identity and output of CA Production LLC.
In 2018, Chris and his wife Amanda Upchurch co-founded CA Production LLC, driven by a shared vision to bring authentic, faith-inspired storytelling to screens. Since then, Chris has worn many hats—writer, director, producer, and lead actor—taking charge of projects from concept to completion. Notable works include Hey Chris (a faith-based dramedy series), One of Those Days, Not Us (a thriller produced by Keli Price), and Vanity Is Too Much.
Chris is also a published songwriter (BMI) with original credits that include Give It Up and Why Breathe. His artistic approach is rooted in faith, authenticity, and empowerment. He uses his voice not only to entertain, but to uplift independent creatives—encouraging them to own their stories and pursue their purpose. With strong leadership, a passion for collaborative creativity, and hands-on experience across every production stage, Chris guides CA Production LLC toward bold futures in film, television, and media.

Amanda Upchurch
Co-Founder | Executive Producer | Actress
Amanda Upchurch is a passionate creative leader, actress, and executive producer dedicated to faith-based and impactful storytelling. She co-founded CA Production LLC with her husband Chris, where she plays a central role in shaping the company’s vision and direction. Amanda’s love for performance began early—starting in theater as a child, she later trained in commercials with Faces International Modeling Agency in Chicago. She’s also practiced modeling, etiquette, and modern dance through formal training (e.g. Visceral Dance Center). On screen and behind the scenes, Amanda brings strong creative influence and leadership. She is credited as an executive producer on the series Hey Chris alongside her husband, Chris Upchurch. As a on-screen talent, she also appears as Pastor Bell in Hey Chris. Beyond production, she is deeply connected to the stories CA Production tells—often guiding narrative, casting, and execution. Amanda is also rooted in Gulfport, Mississippi, where she’s lived for over a decade. She often emphasizes the region’s calming, inspiring environment as part of the creative backdrop she and Chris return to and draw from. Her work is driven by faith, authenticity, and collaboration—she strives to uplift voices and stories that resonate, and brings equal parts heart, tenacity, and vision to every project with CA Production.
